Travel Tip Tuesday
PICKING THE RIGHT DESTINATION
We live in an incredibly diverse world filled with colour, culture and creativity. For many young, budding travellers the world truly is their oyster to go and explore. However when it comes to it, actually finding the right destination for you can be tricky! So here are this Tuesday’s travel tips for picking the right destination for you:
Tip 1: Know your budget
It’s important to realise that travelling costs money! And that without money you won’t be going very far! (sorry for that dampener but onto the exciting part now!!) Once you know your budget some awesome opportunities will opened up to you. From there you can choose which experiences or places you would prefer and have the very best time visiting them. Remember that generally most of your spending will be on transport and accommodation.
Tip 2: Consider your environmental preferences
If you hate the cold then why book an expedition in the Antarctic?! Weather and scenery are so important to consider before booking your destination, as this can be the difference between enjoying your travels and not!
Tip 3: Ask some friends or family for advice
No one knows a destination better than those who have been and experienced it! So get asking and questioning people who have travelled and hear what they thought of it and any places they would recommend or definitely avoid!
Tip 4: Take out your bucket list
Everyone has a list (whether physical or mental) of what they want to experience and see in their lifetime. So dig through that list, get some ticked off and see where that might take you!
Tip 5: Time
It’s important to think about what time is available for you. How much time you have will significantly narrow down the list of your future travel destinations.
Tip 6: Consider the season
Not all countries can be visited all year round. Additionally most countries have a particular time of year that’s best to visit them. Therefore it is important to do some research and see when it best to travel.
