Set above the Uaso Nyiro River and overlooking the Samburu plains towards Mount Kenya, SaSaab Camp is a Moroccan-inspired tented camp situated in Kenya's Samburu National Reserve, a conservation area well-known for its mix of classic savannah animals and some of northern Kenya's more unusual species. SaSaab runs several successful community and green projects that have helped it reap a clutch of awards, including a reusable water bottle initiative that has reduced its plastic waste by 85 percent, a recycling system and the 'save a bucket' concept that harvest guests' cold, clean shower water for use in the thriving kitchen garden.
