Sabuk Lodge is a beautiful, natural retreat situated on Kenya’s Laikipia Plateau, a remote and exclusive location. It is built on a cliff overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River, providing you with stunning views across the Laikipia plains towards Mount Kenya.

About Sabuk

Sabuk Lodge set in a 1500 acres piece of land is home to a variety of wildlife including dik-dik, giraffe, zebra, leopard, elephant and the antelope. The property is located in the Kenya’s northern frontier district, overlooking the Laikipia Plateau, the Ewaso Nyiro River and Samburu land.

Sabuk has a lovely swimming pool and recreation area, a gorgeous spot to unwind after a day of game viewing. Children of all ages are welcome and special activities are planned for them.

Closest airstrip: Nanyuki Airstrip - 60-90 mins drive from camp

Families: Children of all ages are welcome. Under 3s stay free of charge

Accommodation & Amenities

Sabuk Lodge has a main reception area with dining area and comfortable lounges. A swimming pool provides welcome relief on hot summer days from November to March. A laundry service is available and babysitting can also be arranged with staff. There is a shuttle service to and from the airport.

Rooms

There are six en-suite cottages, made from stone and thatch, each with its own character and design. They are open to the bush and the stunning stone bathtubs have terrific views (keep your binoculars near for birdwatching while you bathe). Each cottage also has a large private veranda. The Eagle Cottage is aimed at groups or families, with two en-suite rooms, one with a king-sized bed and the other with three single beds. This cottage has its own living area and plunge pool.

Location - Sabuk

Located on the Laikipia Plateau, Sabuk offers incredible views and wildlife viewing. With most days hot, Sabuk offers an excellent place to come back and relax and enjoy the pool during the midday heat.
Common wildlife included dik-dik, the endangered Grevy’s zebra, giraffe and lots more. Sabuk is a great place to explore!
