About Pelican House

With Pelican Dam located next to the House, there is opportunity for great wildlife viewing just from the veranda. With the Big 5 available all around the house, this brilliant find is sure to meet your every safari need!

Accommodation & Amenities

The thatched country cottage has 3 bedrooms of which 2 open onto a covered veranda and a wooden deck extends out towards the dam and extensive view. There are 2 washrooms with oversize bathtubs and a small powder room. There is an open plan living and dining room with a huge fireplace and a separate equipped kitchen. Guests have the option of preparing their own meals or have the staff cook for them. The dining room has a Cedar dining table with ten seats and writing tables under the windows facing Mount Kenya. The house staff includes housekeeping, someone to assist with cooking, a groundskeeper and night watchman.

Rooms

There are three bedrooms, two of which open onto a covered verandah and a wooden deck which extends out towards the dam and extensive views. The rooms come with king-size beds and soft duvets. All clean linen, bedding and towels are provided. There are two washrooms and one smaller bathroom with oversized bathtubs and a small powder room.

A stay at Ol Pejeta differs from traditional safaris due to the vast array of activities on offer, but the general rhythm is the same. With thousands of animals all around, you are sure to see a wide variety of species. With the house located in the Sweetwaters side of the Conservancy, Morani’s Information Centre, Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary and Baraka, the semi-tame blind black rhino are no more than a 20 minute game drive away!
