The tented suites of the Neptune Mara Rianta Camp are strung along the banks of the Mara River, in the heart of Kenya’s Mara North Conservancy.

About Neptune Mara Camp

This comfortable and down-to-earth lodge is set in an indigenous forest with views over the meandering river, which is home to large families of hippos. From July, when the Wildebeest Migration arrives in the northern Mara and stays until roughly September, it is the river-crossing season when the herds must cross the Mara River to reach greener pastures in the Masai Mara. Year-round game viewing can be enjoyed in the region, and you can also look forward to calving and birthing of resident game in the summer months, as well as the local Loita Hills area wildebeest migration from January to March.

Open: Open all year round

Closest airstrip: Mara airstrips

Families: Children of all ages are welcome

The lodge consists of 20 tented suites, all on raised wooden platforms with private viewing decks. Some of the suites also feature a Jacuzzi. At the main lodge, you can laze on sun loungers at the swimming pool with views of the river, browse the library, get a cocktail at the bar, or head for a relaxing afternoon at the Mvua Spa.  The Acacia Dining Room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and the menu comprises an abundance of fresh Kenyan produce. Breakfast and lunch are buffets, and à la carte dinners offer a choice of appetizers, pastas, main courses, desserts and a selection of fruits and cheeses.
